Our Dogs at Whitewater Middle School

Four dogs from our Therapy Dog group went to Whitewater Middle School on Friday, March 15, 2024, to provide comfort and support to the students and teachers who were dealing with the unexpected death of a student earlier in the week.

When our group received the call for help, Finn (bernadoodle), Murphy (english lab), Nugget (goldendoodle), and Henry (golden retriever), along with their handlers, drove to Whitewater at 8:00 AM on Friday so they could be at the school when the students arrived. 

The dogs enthusiastically greeted the students as they came into the room. They spent almost 3 hours providing love, tail wags, friendly faces and even some kisses to everyone. 

Dogs really do have great emotional barometers.
